Wheaton Epoxy Flooring is an epoxy flooring company based in Wheaton, IL, with more than 20 years in business coating garage floors, basements and commercial spaces. We work with homeowners who want a garage that survives a DuPage County winter, families finishing a basement, and businesses that need a durable floor without closing their doors for a week.
Over those years, we have learned that most floor failures start long before the first coat goes down. A coating peels because the slab was etched instead of ground, blisters because nobody tested for moisture, or disappoints because the quote never said what was actually being installed. Our way of working is built around preventing those problems.
Our Approach

Every slab we coat is opened with a diamond grinder or a shot blaster, never an acid etch, so the coating has real concrete to grip. Before a price is final, we test for moisture and map cracks, spalls and old coatings, and if a slab should be repaired or replaced before it is coated, we tell you. Basement floors are read for past water first, because a coating does not stop seepage or a sewer backup, and we never sell a floor coating as radon reduction, which is licensed mitigation work in Illinois.
Our proposals name the product line, the number of coats and the finished thickness, so you can check the finished floor against the quote. We explain what the warranty leaves out before the job is sold, starting with moisture. Cure schedules follow slab temperature and dew point rather than the calendar, and an unheated garage in deep winter is told to wait for better conditions.
We also handle the details that are easy to skip. Home jobs over the state threshold get a written contract and the Illinois consumer-rights pamphlet before grinding starts. City of Wheaton registration and permit questions are checked before scheduling. Products are chosen inside the Illinois VOC limits, grinding dust is captured at the machine instead of being rinsed toward a drain, and commercial floors are phased around opening hours with night and weekend windows when a space cannot close.
What We Do
Our services cover epoxy garage floors, flake and metallic epoxy floors, polyaspartic floor coatings, basement floor epoxy, polished concrete, concrete grinding and concrete floor repair. For businesses, we install commercial and industrial epoxy flooring, ESD flooring for electronics and server spaces, and commercial kitchen flooring built for heat, grease and health department review. Whatever the floor, the slab comes first and the scope is in writing.
If you are planning a new floor or dealing with one that has failed, contact us for a free estimate. We will look at the slab, test it, and give you a written proposal that tells you exactly what you would be getting.
